The mouse tsuba restoration project is finished. There was replaced and aged missing turnip to match the actual state, and repatinated iron and soft metal inlays. In this case I left it in the original state and only repaired worn off patina on inlays and rusty places on iron. But there could be also done complete care. But it would mean much more work. It means to complete re-finish the surface and start to patinate from the beginning. Such action change more or less an appearance of a tsuba so such intervention is optional.
