The tsuba depicts Bishamonten, one of the four heavenly kings, guardian of the North. The tsuba was made from Arizona sand iron made by my talented friend Scott Irey. Other materials are shakudo, copper, fine silver and various gold. The tsuba was forged to concave shape, which means is the most narrow at seppa dai.
