A tosho tsuba made of kitaegane-steel processed for a Japanese sword blade, that will be patinated in Japanese conditions.
The plovers are migratory birds traveling through Japan on Spring and Autumn. Usually are depicted together with waves, rivers, sea banks or fisherman’s nets. They are symbol of persistence and overcoming of obstructions, because they need overcome high waves and strong winds.
The tsuba is made as a casting model for Bugei Trading Company for their new sword line. There will follow other fittings yet. The set is dedicated to famous Takeda family which used except others signs also centipede on their banners. In adition mukade was very popular creature among samurais. It is also symbol of Bishamonten.
